    1 piece base heights ?

Model 12 FV in 223, eventually will replace the stock and convert to DBM. Looking at 1 piece base and am concernerned about top loading the mag with my old damaged fat fingers till I change the stock. I do tend to mount my scopes higher than average so a high rail height is not a problem. Looking for info and experience with the Talley PSM252725, EGW 81302, KenFarrel SAV-RTS-FS, Leupold 171337 or Warne 7666. Open to any other ideas in a 1 piece. steve

As long as it’s Picatinny capable & made from 7075-T6 billet, it’s good! I would choose either the Talley or the Leupold, but honestly if it’s 7075 and Picatinny ready, going with the most inexpensive would be fine. I’m sure if you search enough, you could find the Talley or Leupold at an exceptional price.

I got this for the same rifle you have but for 6.5 creedmor. https://www.brownells.com/optics-mou...?sku=118000267

I got the mount first then I purchased a chassis within two weeks. I too did not want to deal with the top load.
