    6.5x55...mcgowen vs x-caliber

I'm looking at putting one of these on a model 12 or axis action. The price is the same. The x-caliber is 28" vs 26" for the Mcgowen. same twist. what say you?

I have both in .223 in model 12 BVSS and both are tack drivers but the x-caliber cleans up much quicker.

Check with Jim at Northland about a CBI.

Just to add to the fun- I've got a 26" Shilen varmint contour in the wonderful 6.5 X 55 caliber and would buy it again.

You shooting mostly from the bench? I only ask because if not then that 28" is going to be crazy long. The 26" I've got is a pain to maneuver.
