Than you definitely need a 338 Lapua 😉

Or the 338 Edge, price both of them and weigh it out. If you have questions, let me know. I have had both, but only have the Edge now as we speak.

Why did you get rid of the 338 Lapua and kept the 338 Edge ?

I had a sale for the Lapua, plus the Edge was shooting equal if not better than the Lapua. I didn't need both, plus I only had about $1,200 in the Edge. I am still having fun with it and don't miss the Lapua.

See the Picture below, 3 rounds @ 300 yards and a quarter completely cover the 300 grain Scenar holes.

For sure that's fine shooting from an obviously accurate gun. Id be interested in the velocity numbers
with that load in the edge.
As an example, my sons 30" barreled 338x378 with 106 gr retumbo and a 300 gr berger is running @2950 fps.
My brother in laws 338x416 with a 36" barrel is running @ 3000 fps with a very accurate load of h50bmg.
    My 338 Big Baer with a 34" barrel using 137 gr h50bmg with a 300 gr bullet is running @ about 3250.
So there is a significant difference in powder charge for the gain in velocity. But sitting behind the guns and
watching them also shows a significant difference especially at 1600 yards. I personaly think from an accuracy
standpoint that's about as far as it goes for those cartridges. Under good conditions a mile for entertainment purposes
only would no doubt work for all of them. But I don't see 2000 yards with the possible exception of the very largest 338s.
And those distances wouldn't include live targets. I also wouldn't be sending 300 gr bullets @ 3000 fps from a Savage action.

They would work, but even those would require actually hitting the target.
A few years back 2 different guys I know had Mark King build them improved 50s
on large Bat actions. These are mega buck guns built specificly for the extreme long
range hunting distances. They are both using the 750 gr Amax traveling at 3000+ fps.
Problem they are both having is hitting the deer. I asked the one guy if you couldn't hit them
with a 338x378 what made you think you could with the 50? What would have made more sence
    would be shorter shooting distances.
