A target action has a small port on one or two sides. The BA actions and the LRP are repeaters meaning they are target actions with a mag port on the bottom.
Is the 338 Lapua the only solid top "target style" long action offered by Savage either as a rifle or a bare action?
Not sure on the terminology to use here - referring to the target style actions or the 338 Lapua action where the top of the action is solid, no cutout that would be bridged by a one piece base on a regular action, having a substantially smaller loading / ejection port compared to the regular actions.
I am aware of the single shot target short actions. Is there anything like that but in a repeater?
Have any of you had your single shot target actions opened up to work with AI style detachable magazines?

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
So, nothing in a Short Action with a single small port AND a magazine cutout?
And nothing in a Long Action with a single small port AND a magazine cutout other than the 338 Lapua complete rifles?
I don't remember stating any of that. consistent with my previous post....
If I go to the savage site at

And browse the models, I find the new models(2016)

These three rifles have the target style action with a mag port.

I am certain if you or your gunsmith has a mill you could take a short target action and have it milled to accept a magazine.
