    Long action bolt head


    What is needed to convert a 284 long action to 7mmmag bolt heads and baffles

    Punctuation is important... I'll assume you are asking if you need a new head and baffle.

    No on the baffle, if things were originally meant to be long action; only one baffle for all long actions.
    Bolt head as you can see from your loading manuals, showing the case head differences.
    I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

    Ok so I could convert my new magnum bolt head with parts off my old bolt head

    Yes, but I prefer to keep my bolt heads complete and ready for use in case I want to swap back.
