I bought a boyds stock for my 111, minor work was needed to fit the magazine , and shims to hold it, but I like it much more than the tupperware.
I think b+c carbelite is the model for sporter barrels.
I am looking for something for my stevens 200... I have been to all the sites listed here... and want something finished and drop in...
the Bell and Carlson at http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=913677 uses the description
Bell and Carlson DuraMaxx Rifle Stock Savage 110 Series Long Action Blind Magazine Heavy Barrel Varmint and Tactical Synthetic Black
Mine has a factory barrel... will it work? will the gap be ridiculous?
other option in my price range is
http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/BOYDS-...-p/500-024.htm
the regular boyds laminate....
anyu thoughts on these? anyone with experience with them would be really helpful!!
thanks

Life is short, make every shot count.
The duramax is a good stock for the money (great recoil pad/ fairly stiff forend), but with your sporter barrel there will be a very noticeable gap. My buddies started to poke a little fun at me when I first put a duramax on a sporter .270 Then I outshot every one of 'em. Didnt hear much about it after that.
Bottom line, the duramax will work, if you can handle the abuse that you might recieve from your friends, but hey, your barrel will definately be free floated! Plus the duramax I recieved needed no fitting for a staggered feed action. If you have a centerfeed, it may need a little woork
