I went to see my Gunsmith buddy the other day (BIG MISTAKE). When I told him it was looking like time for another gun he went to his box of tricks and dropped a dummy cartridge in my hand. He had just finished a .243 Catbird for another customer and thought I might like it. After looking at the ballistics (3500fps with a 95gr) I was sold.

Yes I know I will be looking at 1500rds of good barrel life and must use PREMIUM bullets, but I'm OK with that. So what do you all think? I have a stagger feed 110 action from a 30-06, but do you think I would be better off with a inline feed from a latter model Savage or a Stevens 200? The 35deg shoulder on the Catbird is rather steep, so that's what got me thinking.
