This new gun is driving me nuts. It has the h.s stock and the barrel is almost touching the left side of the stock. I have had the barreled action out of the stock several times to check for any rubbing or problems,none that I can find other than the barrel not being centered in the stock. Their is one load that will maybe shoot a 3/4 inch group. It is 8208xbr with a 65gr vmax. I have tried varget,h4895,h335 and nosler 55gr and 70gr bt. Every load other than the 8208 with the 65gr vmaxs the rifle shoots 4"to5" groups. I guess it's time to send it back to savage and see what they say.
Has anyone eles had problems with the LRPV 6br not shooting?

try 29.5g of h322 behind 80g bergers .010 off the lands lapua brass <.0015 headspace. do the correct action screw torquing, sometimes that helps, sometimes it dosent. if that wont get you down to .5" groups there is something else wrong. oh, make sure the barrel and chamber are clean.

You might try some heavier pills.
Mine behaves the same way with 55's but really tightens up with 80gr and 105 gr. I suspect the due to the long throat.
1 in 8 twist? Mine loves the Berger 88 High BC FB and 105 Amax with Varget. .010 jam on 88's and .005 off on the 105's.
Your barrel almost touching on left side, check to see if the tang is free floating, clearance between stock & tang. Usually when they point left there is hard contact between stock & tang putting undue stress on receiver, causing accuracy problems.
If the barrel is off to one side ,that may mean that your recoil lug is not flush against the stock as well.
You could try this. Stand the rifle up, butt down. Take out the action screws, all 3 of them. Hold yor hand over the stock and action and keep them squeezed together so that the barreled action does not fall from the stock. Now, look with a flashlight very closely at how the screw holes in the stock match up with the holes in the action. They should be centered. Now, move the barrel untill it is centered, ( you may want someone to help ), and while doing so, did you see the action holes move? If those action/ stock holes did move, i would re bed the rear of the lug.
These rifles should shoot well below 1/2" groups .
