Stevens 200 in 223 rem. to 308 win?

Can I change my Stevens 200 in 223 rem to 308win or 243 win?

Yes.... That is the joy of Savage modularity.
You will need to change the barrel of course, then the bolt head. Depending upon your magazine configuration that MAY need addressing. If you have the style where there is a metal "block" near the back of the receiver opening, to shorten the magazine opening, that covers out and a new follower goes in.

My Stevens 200 in 223 rem has the center feed type magazine in it. Would a new mag box etc. be better? Would I need to replace the extractor etc. in the larger bolt head?

Been a while since I did that particular swap, but IIRC the bolt head parts are all the same.
Not familiar enough with centerfeed animals, to know if they have "shorter" mags or not. But it should be obvious.

Yes a new mag would be best and certainly easiest. Any standard short action mag (243, 260, 6.5CM, 708, 308) will replace the 223 mag.

Also you may have the extended bolt baffle installed. You can cut it down or replace it. Otherwise it'll limit the travel necessary to pick up the next round.
