    Hello from The Barrel Outlet

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am the webmaster and advertiser for TheBarrelOutlet.com. You guys may remember us when we were McGowenOutlet.com. The new site and name reflects a change in our product offering. The model is a bit different, we are not stocking prefits, but instead stocking rifled blanks and chambering/contouring them to order. We are currently running a 2 week turnaround on custom McGowen barrels. We will soon be adding the new Precision Cut and even new Carbon Fiber barrels. You may have seen our advertising on the site over the past few weeks. I'll be the first to admit, I am not an expert on all the technical aspects, but I do work closely with the plant and our team of gunsmiths.

If you have questions, I'll be glad to get answers for you.

That poor barrel is probably just as upset. They like to be shot! I hope it treats you well when you finally get to shoot it. The McGowen Break-In procedure may be of some use: https://thebarreloutlet.com/mcgowen-break-in/ (apologies if you already have that info)

I've got one McGowen in 6.5 Swede on a Savage that shoots like crazy. I think my next one will be a Remage for my aging 700 ADL 223.

I'm glad it's treating you well. We are doing Remage barrels and have a good inventory of Remage nuts as well. All done in about 2 weeks.
