Does the .223 Axis come with scope mounts?

If not what mounts would you recommend?

    Thanks

My Axis did not come with a scope base. I bought a one piece Warne and I'm happy with it. But there are lots of fine choices like EGW and Weaver, etc.

My Axis came with scope mounts, rings, and scope... but I'm gonna switch to the EGW mount and a better scope.
You know what I like best about people? Their dogs.

Rcmark, why no love for the Axis? Mine feeds extremely well, extracts and ejects extremely well, and most importantly shoots extremely well.

Personally, I would not recommend anyone use the bases included on any factory rifle. Typically, they are extremely cheap and will eventually fail due to not being able to handle recoil well. The slots eventually get damaged and deformed, loosening the bond between the rings and bases. So even if yours comes with bases, I'd replace them.

Generally speaking, rifles that come from the factory without a scope do not come with bases, either.

No idea. There are several types.
    For 10/110 series there are:
    Short action round back
    Short action flat back
    Long action round back
    Long action flat back

Then there are Axis, which are all the same.

For hunting, i like dnz gamereaper. It is a one piece mount with integrated rings. They are almost " idiot proof" because the rings are machined to be aligned properly at the factory. Just screw them on, add your scope and top them off with the top half of the two rings. Usex to find them for $45. Now rhey are typically $60. Still a,good value.

Weaver 48347 is their Axis mount. I personally like the EGW rail better, but the Weaver rail is fine as well.

I chose the weaver rail for my axis , fit and works just fine and at less than one half the cost of others that are available .
