    It's bad...

It's bad when the barrel makers wait for you to call them to order a barrel.

They should anticipate your needs and send you just the right barrel - right contour, right finish, right twist, right chamber, right length, right threads - and have it delivered to your door the day you decide to install it.

And they should coordinate their efforts so two barrel makers don't bother you with redundant deliveries on the same day.

You would think they would get with the times.

The should stock your tenon dimensions and chamber all of them to your specs as well. What ever happened to customer service.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Buy a lathe, then you can make what you want, when you want.

It would be even better if they would charge your brother-in-law's credit card.

Exactly, but it also takes d i y gunsmithing to a little different level.
And to be honest about it, you still wait for a barrel.

But Hammer, I thought you gave up those silly rifles in favor of scatterguns?

You can't totally kick the addiction.

Somehow four more blue (black) presses snuck into the shop and they have to be fed.

I've been told they can't exist, but even have Dillon Super 1050 shellplates for the 220 Swift, 22 Hornet, the H&H Magnum, the 348 Winchester, and 500 Linebaugh.

Got a bullet feeder to go along with the Swift Dillon Super 1050.

Once the hydraulics are hooked up...
