I am in the process of putting together a medium to long range(200-600 yards) hog hunting rifle in .308 and am at the point I am ready to rebarrel and choose a bullet weight so I can decide on a twist rate for the new barrel. I dont have the knowledge or equipment to reload so I will be looking for a round that I can purchase online or off the shelf. I am liking the sierra 175 and 190s coefficient. From the chart tiborasaurusrex put together but I am open minded if anyone has some real world experience to share. Is this a viable goal for the 308 cartridge at these ranges? As much as these critters tear up my fence and root up my pastures I am not knowingly going to take pot shots on them, I want it to be as ethical as possible.
