My barrel likes .030" off the lands.
I find each one likes it a little different than the others.
Pick a start point on your COL, find a charge that works best for you then adjust your seating depth.
Adjust one thing at a time. You'll probably find greater variations with powder charges than seating depths - unless you're sinking 'em in the barrel .050" or so. I like to give them a little "running room" to start. After the powder charge is tuned and I'm getting 3 to 5 round groups under .75 I play with seating.
And it usually comes back to where I started. About .030" in.
