IMR4064 and CCI primers has worked really well for me in the 30.06. The velocity spread was so tight at a less than full charge on a couple rifles I just settled in at that powder charge and worked on other factors to tighten the group as much as possible.

Problem is, one rifle was my brothers, I of course returned that to him after I developed a load for the gun, then I improved the chamber on the other, and now I get to start over. Soon anyway, fire form some more brass first.

All the other cartridges I've loaded over the years and I've never fallen on a powder/charge/primer combination that had such a tight spread in velocity so quickly. Usually takes a little more trial and mostly error.
