    Can't get the magazine out!

I recently purchased a Savage model 11 Hog Hunter. I am going through the motions of changing the stock to a Boyd's stock. As I am disassembling the original stock, I can't seem to get the magazine out of the stock. Is their any tricks or am I missing something? I don't want to go crazy on this thing trying to pull it out. Any input would be met with gratitude.

Place a flat blade screw driver under the L clip and give a gentle pry upwards, then take a plier and grab front of the mag and pull up and out.

And be careful not to loose the clip. It isn't attached to the magazine. It will try to escape when you pull up on the magazine and you'll end up spending the day looking for it.

A little something I learned on the first one I did many years ago.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
