Hi all, I'm new to savage shooters and new to Savages. I found out through an 80% at lower and a mosin nagant I enjoy making something from nothing. This is my first venture making something from something but after I bought my donor axis I noticed all kinds of tumbling media impregnated in the barrel and barrel but threads? Will thus mess up the threads? How do I avoid complications from this? Any help or feed back would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

it's left over from the factory. Has become very common and have seen it pretty much every time I've removed a factory barrel. Threads should be fine just clean them up before spinning a new barrel back on.
Thanks guys glad I'm not the only one who's seen this
They seem to be laid on thickest on my Axises, but even my 11 had some.
