    New from AZ

    Good Morning!

I've just acquired my first Savage, but im certainly not new to guns! Very excited to finally have a long gun with a barrel nut!

just picked up a 111 in 300wm as a receiver and bolt donor for my project (price was right). I plan to still do 300wm but with a heavy/bull barrel, new stock, CDI bottom metal, etc.

Any suggestions on barrel Mfgs? I've used Criterion for a few AR builds, and know he does quite a bit of savage barrel configs as well....any input is greatly appreciated!

    thanks,

    jared

Welcome aboard! You can't go wrong using Krieger/Criterion barrels.

Welcome to the board. But be very careful talking about going to the nice warm and sunny range over the next 3 months. Some of the guys back east get a bit testy.

Mr45, I know what you mean.....went to Ben Avery the other morning, and nearly had to wear a long sleeved shirt.

    thanks all for the welcome!
