Welcome aboard
I'm Mike Brantley and a new 'old savage' owner. I do believe it is my first Savage.
I retired from the Army and worked for another 25 years, recently throwing in the towel. I have been a shooter since I was 10 years old; first rifle was a Stevens Scout 14 1/2 .22. Barrel was so worn out I had to shake it like a BB gun to get the hammer to hit the rim. I have a pile of guns and trade/sell them off once I get my eye on another I like better (or think I do). That brings me to this forum and I hope to get some good info on solving my problem.
It will be most enjoyable reading ya'lls posts, regardless of subject. I find most serious shooters to be pretty interesting people.

Glad to have you. Your gonna like it here.
Thanks for your service brother.
You know what I like best about people? Their dogs.
One does not get much closer to Middle GA than Laurens County. I lived in Twiggs for 10 years and they actually have a geographical marker declaring the exact middle of the state, so it is possible.
