I have been very happy with the 139gr Hornady Interlock , and these should do very well for hunting. Really like the lower recoil on the 120's as well but haven't shot them enough to have an opinion on accuracy.
Hi all. I'm new here and will be picking up my first Savage rifle this Friday. Because of a disability, I ordered the Axis in a left hand youth in 7mm-08 and I'm kind of tossed as to which ammo to buy. I was looking at Hornady Custom Lite (low recoil) in 120 grain SST or possibly Remington Core-Lokt in 140 grain PSP. I plan to use the rifle for whitetail, antelope, and muleys, and most would probably lean towards the 140 grain, but I've killed a number of deer with my .243 and 100 grain bullets. Any thoughts on these two loads or any other suggestions for this caliber?
