I kicked up a fork muley @ 0830 today; he stopped but I didn't have a shot -- sun on my face. I ran into 28 muley does -- normally take does for meat but the area I'm hunting is off limits on does.
Half an hour later, I ran into the the muley fork again. This time, the sun was on his face and never knew I was there. Range him at 311 yards but the wind was howling at 25 MPH from L-R of the target. Made the necessary corrections and sent the 175 Matrix @ 2993 FPS at the muzzle.
Not a trophy or long range but we're taking the meat to our son in FL for Thanksgiving. It should be good eats!
