Is it a center feed action? They convert to DM configuration pretty easy. If that's a factory "Tupperware stock", place your rifle on the front rest close to the front action screw so the flimsy forearm doesn't touch the barrel affecting grouping. I've strengthened a factory stock by filling in the voids in the barrel channel with plumber's epoxy putty sticks that have to be kneaded to activate the hardening process. I tamped it down level using a 1/2" dowel to make sure it didn't touch the barrel. The putty I used set up in 15 minutes rock hard and really stiffened the forearm. I used the putty all the way back to the recoil lug area as that area can flex if not strengthened. Good lookin rifle by the way.
