    Burris XTR II 8-40x50

I know there are a few threads dealing with this issue, but I wanted an abbreviated overall advice if this scope is worth the purchase and where can I find the best deal. Thank you.

My friend got one for his 700 300rum. So far he loves it. I shot it once and like the reticle. Easy to measure groups or misses.

Can you crank them all the way up to 40X, without them getting milky.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

In good light 40x was fine. But It did start to dim a little. Nice thing is you can turn down the power and still have accurate reticle because its ffp.

I have one and have zero complaints. Used it on my .308 for long range and antelope hunting. Worked great on a end of day shot in low light at 350+

I just purchased a new Burris Veracity and The Digital Oasis had the BEST price.
