Don't believe everything you read in Midway reviews. I hope you have better luck with Barska products than I have.

Had one on my model 12 chambered in .260 Rem, lasted about 200 rounds >
I had a 6-24X40 Ill mil-dot on a 12 .204, and it was great for 100-200yd plinking in bright daylight. You get what you pay for though. It wasn't worth a darn over 18x, and good luck shooting close to dawn, dusk, or on a cloudy day. It returned to zero very well for me, and over all for the money I was happy with it. I hope you don't get it thinking it will perform like a good quality scope!
Stay away from anything barska IMHO
ive got the 10050 6-24x50 mildot on my 17 2 years now.dropped it, taken it off ,put it on my 308,my 25-06, now back on my 17 ,works perfect 72.00 cheaper than dirt.10.00 shipping MARK25-06
well for now its all i got to use till i save up some money who makes a decent scope for about 200
If that's what you got, just go out and shoot it. If it holds up and works out for you, all the better. In the meantime, while waiting to buy a better scope, you'll learn a lot about your rifle.

For $99 at SWFA, I would MUCH prefer the Vortex Crossfire over anything Barska--if we are talking solely about very inexpensive scopes.
Vortex crossfire or Vortex Diamonback are both excellent scopes for that price range.Originally Posted by sniper81

i have a bushnell trophy 3-9x40 mill dot but i like more magnification if i was to use this scope on my 308 if i sighted it in at say 40 or 50 yds where would it hit at 100yds
economy scopes do NOT have clear picture at high magnification!Originally Posted by sniper81

how do u figure the bushnell scope is an economy scope
the word "bushnell" is not in my reply. this is a general reply to you quest for more power.

He may not have said it, but the Bushnell Trophy is an ECONOMY scope. If they show up in NatchezSS for under $150(including another ECONOMY scope or range finder, or spotting scope), what else can you call them?
Not putting them down, as I have owned a few economy scopes in the past (Barska, Konus,Swift,Nikon,Bushnell) just stating the facts.
The two Vortex Vipers I now own have got me thinking Vortex is the way to go if the lower priced models are any where close to the Vipers.
i think bushnell is like most scope manufactors they have some cheap stuff like the banner line and then high in stuff 6500 with 6.5 magnication go for 5-30 this a nice peices of glass just leupold has the rifleman then high in mark 4 really depends on witch line your talking about
i dont think you can blanket statement most manufactors
most make junk and most make great scopes too the problems we all want great scopes at junk prices so we end up in the middle somewhere
