    There is no universal "Best" anything my friend.
    If you don't reload, 165gr class Cor-Lokt & Power Point ammo is usually decent.
    I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

    I do understand that no round shoots the same in every gun, my question was to get some feedback on rounds that have worked well for other in this particular gun so I can buy a few different kinds before I go to the range. If I have several different rounds that have shot and grouped well for others in this gun, I will likely find one that shoots better than the others.

    with the 1/10 rifling I would stay with the heavier stuff, 160-165+. I'm sure the lighter stuff will shoot just fine but that twist is good for the heavier stuff. If I were you I'd buy some 168/175 GMM or similar if you can find it. That's if you plan on it being a range/paper/steel rifle. If you intend to hunt with it I would find the type/weight of bullet that will suit the game your hunting and go from there.

    I don't hunt it will be all target rifle, I have some 150 gr, 160 gr and several boxes of Federal Gold Match 175 gr.. I am thinking from what I have read so far that the Federal are probably going to be the best.

    I'd use the 150/160 to get the scope close to zero and then go to the 175 GMM. You should try out some other match type ammo before you settle on the GMM or go for a reloading setup.

    Hornady Steel Match 155 gr BTHP shoots sub MOA. I've only shot out to 209 yards and it's close to 1/2 MOA at that distance if I do my part.

    The best I've run through my hog hunter was Norma Match 175 SMK. My dealer had some for a dollar or two more than Federal GMM, so I went that way and couldn't be happier. I shot a 10 shot group at 100, under .75. That's pretty good, for me anyway.

    * I'm assuming you reload

    This is the same load I use for 600 yard FT/R competition, I just swap out the 168g SMK bullets for the above. I put the shots at the base of the ear to preserver the ribs. They always drop instantly.

    Be careful with Varget, in my 308 I was way overpressure at 44gr of varget and a 165gr SGK, locked the bolt up. Varget is very accurate in 308 but has nasty pressure spikes.
