6BR feeding from Savage factory DBM

I know that Savage makes (made?) a dedicated 6mmBR magazine, sku 55157.

Has anybody attempted to use a standard Savage 308 or even 223 detach magazine for 6BR? If so, any feed issues? Thinking of a rifle built for 105-107 class bullets using a factory steel DBM.

Get the 6BR mag. I tried to make mine feed from a SF (no chance in heck there, IMHO) and a CF. The CF tried hard but was not reliable at all. I have not tried one but I have heard that the factory CF 6BR is the best way. I turned mine into a single shot.

Midway was selling the 6BR DBM mag last time I looked and had it in stock, but that was a couple weeks ago. You can just pop off the DBM floor plate and use as a blind mag, might be cashier that way but might be the only way to get one.

    Hope that helps a little.
