Great caliber choice!
Are you going to shoot it first before you put the brake on so you can compare the brakes effectiveness?

mebbe a few times. have fired some reduced loads in it to break in the bbl a bit, need to pump it up, but cant find the powder i want to try first locally.
No such thing as a ugly .338 ;D
Did you have to get a new magazine box to fit the 338 RUM? If so, where'd you get it from.
nope, this started as a rum action
however, w Lapua b408s im .070 off the lands when loaded to the max length for the box. if i need to i have an idea for a slightly longer magbox a sheetmetal buddy can make that wont require any action mods. if it shoots ok w the jump i wont bother
That is not the ugliest 338 ever built!
It is, however, in the top five.

Some people see a 3 tone rifle in that pic, I see an assemblage of quality parts that has a lot of potential for great accuracy. Who gives a shit what it looks like.
Something I've noticed is that good shooters (the firearms, not the ugly bastards behind them) are seldom pretty. If a gun shoots, it gets shot often, and if it gets shot often it usually has a lot of "character."
Keep us posted,

It's better looking than some of the crap I own.
edit.......did I say "crap"?
