Romad,
it doesn't appear you are going to have enough space unless you go to the heavy barrel model. There is only about 1/16 inch on each side of the factory sporter contour barrel (in the standard stock).
I am in the process of waiting on everything to put together my 223AI project. I still need a stock though. I am strongly considering an aluminum bedded hogue overmold. Can anyone who own one tell me if these stocks will accomodate a heavy sporter profile barrel? I don't want to spend $200 plus dollars just to find out theres not enough clearance i the barrel channel.

Thanks, this helps. I may just end up going with a Boyds prarie hunter. I really want a synthetic stock but I want a DBM and I don't really feel like waiting 9 months on a custom stock.
That and the price keeps me going back to Boyd's.
I used the Boyds Prairie Hunter on both of my Magnum Contour barrels, just had to open the barrel channel a little. probably will need to do the same on the heavy sporter.
And +1 on the price there Foxx, gotta love that.
Hogue does make a heavy barrel model. I don't have one,I'd be afraid of the rubber separating from the stock.
