Cool Savage 93 FVSS 22wmr bolt problems

    Good day from Australia!

I've just picked up a 93 and, as I've read on this forum, am experiencing firing problems. Misfires galore with 4 different types of ammo.
I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of precise instructions for bolt disassembly and maintenance?
    Thank you kindly.

There are Savage Mark II bolt disassembly (and polishing) threads over on RFC; should be close enough in nature to show you what you need. They are quite detailed, pics and all. Might be some here too, but I haven't found them.

Have you tried blasting out the factory grease with a can of brake cleaner then lightly lubricating with an oil of your choice? Some folks have had luck with that, vs having to take the whole deal apart. It helps the firing pin move more freely, etc.

    Good luck with it...
