Hey Gang,
The infection of savageitus is in full swing. I just picked up an older model 114 in .270. It is a flat receiver, walnut stocked, pre-accutrigger rifle with front and rear sights. I was wondering about the age... the serial is F 255XXX. Any ideas? Also if any of you are in Southern Oregon, I can point you to a local store with a gold mine of savages (including a 110 30.06 with accutrigger for $295)... some 243's, 4 270's, 2 30.06's, 3 300mag's and a 338. All under 400. PM me if interested.
Savage number 6 and counting...

I'm in northeastern oregon but get to the southeastern part of the state from time to time.
Hey Ramstud41,
I went to the website and put that in, but it said it does not have info prior to the G prefix. I put in my other savages and I even got down to the hour they were produced! Anyone know anything about the F prefix rifle dates?

Was just reading this this morning, it gives a rough idea.
Thanks!
My 12 FV has the F prefix and it was manufactured in 2001.
