I pick one up from cabelas. Still doing barrel break in.not real impressed with grouping thus far. I pick up 4 boxes of quality factory loads for this. None of them shot less the 2" groups at 100 yards. With the brss going to start hand loads 175 smk and vatget or cfe223?

If I'm not mistaken, the 10T is comparable to the 11VT I got at Dick's. Mine didn't start to group under 1" at 100 yards until I had 70+ rounds down the barrel. I'm over 800 rounds now and it's been a long time since I had a 5 shot group over 1 moa.

I picked up one of these earlier in the spring. I shot a cheap box of 147gr first and it shot 2" groups. Went to hand-loading 175gr smk and with just short of 200 rounds down the pipe, it will shoot .75 moa at 100yds. Will hold 1 moa out to 500yds which is as far as I have tried. I like mine so far.

Savage 11VT from Dick's.... same as the Wal-Mart one you speak of except it came with a package scope and didn't come with the oversized bolt handle.

I have the model 10T from Cabelas. I have 190 rounds through it so far. I followed the barrel break in prodedure on the Savage web site. It took about 50 rounds before the rifle settled down. During barrel break in i shoot Silver State Armory 168 and 175 and Norma 150 grain TAC Ammo. The rifle showed a perference for 175's. Although the Norma ammo held it's own with a couple 5 shot groups in the mid .600. My best 5 shot group to date at 100 yards is .435" shooting 175 SMK, 41.5 grains IMR 4064, CCI BR4 primer, and Norma brass. I really like the rifle. The issue I have is my barrel coppers up real easy so it's a pain to clean. But, it is a factory barrel.

Likewise picked up the 10T from Cabelas, put a Leupold Mark IV 4.5-14x50 on it, have 90 rounds through it, loading 168 gr SMK with 44gr of 4064, 2.80 OAL, chrono @ 2758 with 0.50 MOA 5 shot groups. Love the rifle, goal is 600 yds, may have to try the 175 gr. when I start getting some distance.
