    Any .30-06 112BVSS Fans?

I got a .30-06 112BVSS around ten years ago. I wanted one of the .30-06 110FPs, but they'd already disappeared by then. I had a small gun store in Fremont, Ohio order the 112BVSS for me.

When I got it, it had a VERY short throat and wouldn't chamber anything much longer than an M-1 ball round. I had a gunsmith outside of Canton lengthen the throat so that I could use the 200gr. Sierra Matchkings which are the only bullets I use in the gun.

I had a rail for a handstop installed in the standard stock, which has more than enough meat for that purpose.

I have a 6-24 Bausch & Lomb Elite 6300 on it. Until last fall, I had a Medesha inclined rail on it, but I was planning to take it deer hunting in Missouri and the year before I passed on a shot at a deer that was too close. I'd have had to aim two feet under it and couldn't SEE two feet under in the brush. I just put regular hunting bases on it for the trip, then came down with the flu and ended up not going at all.

The gun is exquisitely accurate at 600 yards with the 200gr. MKs and IMR4350.

I currently don't have anywhere to shoot a rifle and no money to do it with. Some day, I hope to get back to rifle shooting at 600 and 1,000 yards.

I've got a 112BVSS that I bought because I couldn't find a 110FP either......lol. Wouldn't you know it though, after I finally made the decision to give up looking for the FP and just convert my BVSS to a FP type clone, two of them came up for sale locally.

Oh well, I'm very happy with how my rifle turned out. I've not had it out to any appreciable distance yet, but I'm hoping soon. I swapped out the laminated stock for a DuraMaxx and I've got a Burris Black Diamond 6-24x50 ballistic mil-dot on it. Its been sprayed with duracoat matte black.

Got a recipe for the 200gr SMK's with IMR4350 you'd care to share?

Would you like to sell the 112BVSS laminated stock?
