    .308 lrp????


    Ive got a gun i have traded for and the guy says it was a custom lrp but i dont find anything on a lrp made in .308? Any ideas?

    If you go to Savage's part finder and enter the serial number, the specs on the rifle should appear. I've never tried it for a custom shop rifle though.

    Savage will do one off setups like that as long it is a caliber they currently chamber for. You will pay full retail and then some in most cases though. Or he could have just re-barreled a LRP to .308.
    More shooting, less typing.

    Based on the action cutout and barrel nut, I do not believe that is a LRP action.

    I just tried for my custom and it did not work. So if he did the same thing and there was no results I then would think it was a custom but that still doesn't mean it was a model 12.

    It's a model 12 , either a VLP or Bvss or Fvss originally.
