Plain and simple.. Which one would you pick for a deer rifle if both were the same price?

I'm finding this interesting. I thought if you would throw the cost out the window the Zeiss would walk away with this poll. I guess thats saying something about the Vipers!

Finally got my hands on a Viper HS in real life on Saturday. Pretty impressive!

I find it interesting as well. I have owned both and the Conquest has outstanding glass.
    More shooting, less typing.

The extra 2x on top of the Viper may sway some votes. 3-9 used to be fine for me, but lately all of my scopes have been purchased with higher magnification power.

The viper has greater range of magnification. For me, I prefer to hunt on magnification around 3x to 4x. The higher the magnification on the scope, the less amount of sight picture you have. But if I wanted to stretch my target out there I like a higher magnification. The 16X would come in handy for spotting purpose more so than a 14X.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
