I live the next city south from Melbourne.
You're right. July & August suck wet salami skins. You guys up north are trapped inside for Jan. & Feb., we're stuck in the A/C for July & Aug.
Hurricanes, notwithstanding, of course in which case we run the opposite direction.
Although, I do find it easier to cool off when its too hot as opposed to trying to warm up when its subzero.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Exactly why Im thinking of becoming a southerner for Jan.-Feb. next year! If only I could stop spending $ on guns and my hopped up 79 Malibu..really want to hit high 11s in quarter mile this year!
Well it wasn't cold this AM, 60ish at 0700. But the fog was so thick that our F-Class match start was delayed from 0800 to 1130.
The 5mph winds were brutal, I only finished 3rd :)
Hello to all you nice folks at NSA :)
It was so cold here Monday, my wife said she came out for work, and there was two rabbits froze to the ground.
Finally broke here 20 above gentle 5mph breeze and sunny with a feels like 24 temp. Franks prolly suffering in humidity slaving over that garden.
Heat Wave!
A high of 82 here.
Whew!.... Where's my iced tea? It's too hot to work outside today.
I'll be glad when winter gets here to cool things off a little.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Funny we had heatwave today also,+25,+6 tonight and +30 tomorrow and +40s for Friday! Gonna start a new reality show called Savage Swap, you leave your guns at your home and swap guns and homes with a fellow member! Where do we want to send Frank AKA fgw_in_fla..lol

Just remember...
I don't go anywhere north of Jacksonville.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Sadly, I must inform, nominees don't get to vote,I personally think Frank and the fella in Alberta would be an interesting show!
I am game but only for a swap during hunting season.
We told you so...
Just remember, whomever gets Franks place during the 'reality check', I already have dibs on the tent space. And I put a really loud header on the generator soz when I'm working reloading and building, it will let Frank know folks do actually move around now and then...grinz. kb

Still decent temp here (mid 20's) but gentle breeze turned into steady 21 Mph wind with gusts bumping 30 frequently. Was gonna try plowing out.the.backyard range but just can't bring myself to sit on my old loader tractor for the.2 hours it'll take to dig out. Maybe Saturday will look better.
Well after 2 days in the 50s. Mother Nature rears her ugly head again,6-10 inches snow overnight and into Wed.Then single digits and wind for Thurs. We thought spring was here.
Hehe we're in the clear up here. A short cool off them back to spring temps
-4 Thursday morning, +32 Friday morning and +53 at 5pm..I think winter is over here !
Come July I may go with you.
Depending on how far north you go, of course...
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
