    Newest handguns...

I had a shotgun on consignment at a friend's shop. Went to visit it today and we settled on a trade; an H&R Defender 5 shot .38 S&W snobby and a Savage Model 1907 .32 acp auto. The Savage is serial number 85 and the magazine is original, not like the aftermarket one that was in the first 1907 I got!

I thought I'd add pictures of my other 1907; s/n puts it at 1915 manufacture.

Wow, that's an early gun, one of the first off the line and I like those metal grips!

You should seriously think about getting that gun lettered by the historian.

On the backside of that safety, has it been grinded to fit?

That's not the original safety, even up to serial number 24X the safeties were dished and not cross checkered like yours, it's been swapped.

It took Savage Arms 6 months to make the first 200 pistols and 30 of them were spoiled, you've got a real piece of history there, that's why I'd like to see it lettered, it may have been owned by someone in the Savage Arms management back in the days, who knows.
