Although they are hard to find premachined there is a short action Bell and Carlson tactical with the floor plate and a 10 round center feed mag on eBay. These are few and far between when looking for one. Auction ends Sunday 4-20-2014. Ha ha just saying... I have a medalist in fully adjustable on my rig. I can say I love mine even if it is a bit heavy at least I rarely need more than 1 bullet unless its at a range. :-) not a L/A but I too would like one in L/A for my next project.
