We do a lot of handicap hunts every year. Got the privilege to sit with a man that got hurt on an elk hunt 19 years ago.
He told me his story, said he saved his money for 4 years for the a once in a lifetime elk hunt. Being from Mississippi lots of us dream of an elk hunt but not many gets to go, so it a big deal. He was driving his 4 wheeler and missed a curve, fell 30 ft. He woke up 2 weeks later in the hospital paralyzed. Sence then he said he hunts as mutch as he can but alwaysed dreamed of going back and finishing his elk hunt.
I have some good friends that do a pile of handicap hunts every year. They have access to a high fence place in tx for whitetail. Just so happened there was one elk on the place.
Made the call Wednesday, Thursday we struck out. Lol
Got there and he wanted to use my creedmoor. I had some Barnes loaded for it and everything worked perfect.
His wife cried, and he said with a big smile that he had been waiting 19 years for this. It was an awesome!!!!!
