For my Savage F-Class with a 30 inch barrel Exbal calculates 50.0 MOA @ 1,500 yards using 140 gr. Berger VLD's at 2953 fps MV.
    Hope this helps you.
50.0 MOA @ 1500 yards give or take. Your mileage may vary. I would allow for a bit more depending on elevation, humidity, etc.

When shopping for a scope to reach out this far look for the 30mm tubes they almost always have more adjustment to them.
Try going to www.opticstalk.com the guys over there will be a lot of help, quite a few of them are into long range shooting.

I was looking at the ior 36x42 but I dont know how much elevation it has not listed on web site the other choice i was looking at was a sightron SIII 8x32x56 it has 70 moa of elevation with a canted base it should be more than enough elevation

Im open to suggestions on scopes my max that I want to spend is 1500 with a magnification above 30 fixed preferable

I have a 30" Benchmark 6.5x284 that Kevin Rayhill chambered and threaded for a small shank, 8 twist and man is it a hummer. I built mine on a short action small shank stainless, SSS trigger at 10oz., and a B&C tactical with a 10x40x50 Barska Swat, 30mm tube scope. Lot of folks dont like the scope, but I have had zero problems with it, tracks great. Let me know when you get yours built, can give you some great load data to start from.

Do you have to remove the bolt to eject live rounds in that short action with the 6.5-284. I thought that round would surely need a LA to cycle properly.
