    SSS trigger problems.

I just received an SSS trigger and am not very pleased with it. Seems to be very gritty feeling plus looks like someone has tried to install it and failed. Some grinding on one side on the lower pins and a big scratch mark down the other like it had been forced into place. I could put up with the scratches but the gritty trigger pull bothers me. Are they all like that or did I get a bad one?

The one I have is stellar in fit, finish, and function.
Might I ask where you purchased it?

I bought it from Gun shack who I will call today. I'm sure they will take care of it, just wondered if all the SSS triggers had that gritty trigger pull.

Meaning? Also ordered varmint trigger springs but they appear to be the same as my model 10 springs which are dark colored. My VLP trigger springs are silver. I did the ballpoint spring swap on another rifle and am pleased with that.

If you need springs just tear open a cig lighter. They typically have 2-4 springs of various sizes.

I got a used trigger guard from Gun shack a while back as well. They gave me a refund, but they never should have sent it.

Im not sure what's to be gained by selling used parts for the price of new.

Have you installed the trigger and adjusted according to the instructions?
I seem to remember thinking one of mine was bad - I was trying to check it in my hand.
Installed it and all was well
I think the scratches on the side are from grinding off the assembly pins
    Hope this helps

Just an FYI: We do not stock used parts, if we do happen to have a used part, we definitely advertise the part as such. We order direct from manufacturers, so if there are any defects with a product, they occur from the factory. We do our best to catch any problems where we can, but some things do slip through. Of course, if there are any issues, we do our best to rectify them.

    Thanks!

The lady I spoke with was very nice and apologized for my problem and has promised to send a RA this week and I can expect a full refund. I'll deal with them again with no reservations.
