    New build.... almost done

    Hey guys,

I've been on here for a while lurking and gathering as much info as I can so I figured it was time to finally share and contribute....

    It's a Savage 11 non-accutrigger.

I have purchased a factory heavy barrel from another forum which I have installed after buying all the necessary tools. It is currently 25" and plan on having it cut down to 18.5". I would prefer shorter but due to Canadian firearms laws this is as short as I can. The inside of the green tape is where it will be cut.

Timney aftermarket trigger. Very easy to install.

Modular Driven Technologies Light Sniper Stock. Takes AI mags. Very solid and takes AR-15 accessories. I am using a Magpul grip. The folder stock adaptor is from US Machinegun Parts. I have a Magpul MOE stock on order and a butt pad made by MDT. I will see how the cheek weld is when I buy a scope and may need to get a riser.

Right now I have a "borrowed" Vortex 1-4X and plan on getting a Vortex 3.5-10X FFP or I might just keep things simple and get a Bushnell 10X. I don't plan on taking this hunting and it will be punching paper or hitting steel or rocks at distance.

Now I just need some free time to go to the range!
