If you look at Berger's web site they list the twist ratings for all their bullets. VLD's are typically very long so this should give you a frame of reference.
You could probably find their length to compare against bullets you have.
Is anyone running a 300WSM with a 1:12 twist ratio. What weight bullet would you recommend. I was thinking 150-165 gr. might work with this barrel (hunting and occasional steel) but I did recall reading an article on Longrange Hunting mentioning 175gr. Bergers, 190gr VLD and some other 210 gr.The 1:10 is supposed to be the best all around from all the factory builds out there..

Was looking for similar info recently on Berger bullets and had to ask them where the data was hidden. Scroll to the bottom of this link and click the yellow rectangle labeled "Quick Reference Sheet". Should answer your questions on weights, twist, lengths, etc. Good luck.

I stabilize 168's in my 13tw .308 Winchester so at WSM velocities you shouldn't have any issues. Why not go 7mm if you want to shoot that class of bullets? Just curious....
