Last evening I went to my Sons and we went up on the mountain as the early antlerless season started last Sat. I had not killed a Deer in 2 years. We settled in behind some brush the same spot we were in 2 years ago and watched the field in front of us. After about 20 min. 3 appeared in the upper edge of the field about 120 yds. away. The first one was the biggest (the mother) and I was going to take her but when she moved to my left the Sun caused a whiteout in my scope so I moved to the next one. It was looking my way so I put the cross hairs on its chest. When the rifle went off it dropped in it's tracks and the funny part is it was in the same spot I had shot my last one. I use Hornady 250 gr. XTP with SR4759 powder and I have had my gun for about 10 years. Over the years I certainly have had a lot of harder hunts but not more enjoyable as I don't get around as good as I used to.
Sorry no pictures I forgot my camera and I don't think this trophy weighted more that 50 lbs.
