Lamp rod from most hardware stores
The only place I can find pillars for the model 11 is at Stocky's for 14.00. Are there any other places to buy them?
Also, can they be made and if so, what do I need and how do I go about doing it.
Thanks.

+1 for lamp rod. Cheap and you can cut to your exact length needed.
Please help me on the lamp rod? What diameter should I get and I am guessing I will need to cut the notch out for the trigger assembly correct?
I use 1/8" ip (3/8"od) and yes you will have to notch it with a dremmel or the like
I had some AL ones turned from 1/2" with .1/3 hole in the middle.. counter sunk on the front.. knurled. I have to cut em down for length and trim out the sear clearance on the rear still.. These guys are much less expensive.
Less expensive than lamp rod? Wow! I "must" meet your machinist ! :-)
No, the lamp rod was cheaper. Mine was 27 for 2 sets.
I think the lamp rod was like $5 for 3'
I will look for a lamp rod this weekend.
You can buy it in 3 foot sticks at lowes

I just went to Menards and got a few pieces of lamp rod for $2. Time to bust out the hack saw and files.
Has anyone ever (besides me) just notched the trigger piece instead of the pillar?
There are a number of threads on pillar bedding. Here is one example.

I prefer to make them out of barrel steel(old barrels) or aluminum on my lathe. Some of the commercial ones are ok but I would check with stockade stocks for a decent set of pillars. He doesnt list them but I am sure he has them. 1-308-432-5114 and ask for kevin. He ships the same or next day.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!
