Thread: Will an Axis trigger work on a 111?

    Yeah, it's a surprise. At first, the Accu-Trigger on the Axis felt heavier than it did on the 111, but considerably crisper than with it's stock trigger. The Axis trigger on the 111 felt a tad lighter than it did on the Axis, but MUCH crisper. I pulled out my other Axis with stock trigger, and it's the heaviest by far. I measured the pulls, and the results are what I would expect...

    Axis with Accu-Trigger: 2lbs
    111 with Axis Trigger: 4lbs
    Axis #2 with stock trigger: 5lbs

    So that is what I expect, but not necessarily what I feel. I think it has to do with the sear engagement. The sear on the 111 has had more use, and is likely better-fit than the ones in either of my Axis rifles. I am going to pull them both out again, and take a look at the engagement surfaces. I suspect that is the issue.

    Truth be told, the 111, even with the Axis trigger still feels best.
