Make sure the screw on the back end of the bolt is tight and don't worry.
I just purchased a new model 11 in 260 Rem and noticed the bolt has some play in it when out of battery. Is this a bad thing or will it hinder accuracy? If it won't cause any accuracy issues, I'll stop worrying about it but if there's going to be a problem with the gun I'd like to know if there's any way to fix it.
Thanks for the help in advance.

If you are talking about the looseness between the bolt body and the action bore this is how a savage is made. Very different than other rifle manufactures. One of the features of a savage bolt is the floating head. If that is not what you are refering to...Nevermind.
