    10 FCP HS question

Hello all, new to the site but have heard great things about it. Just purchased a FCP 10 HS with the fluted and threaded barrel, and while waiting on it to get here, I am getting everything else together. I have a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 on the way and need to order a set of rings. In order to do that, I need to know the barrel diameter at the muzzle. If anyone has this information, it would be greatly appreciated. As soon as I get it all together I'll be sure to post pictures.

What base are you planning to use? That may be a factor.
Nice scope choice, by the way.

Medium will clear the bell ans leave a little room for a scope cap to fit.

TPS Low worked fine on my .308 FCP-K with the Accustock. I had to change to TPS Medium with the XLR chassis and larger hand guard, which is a constant diameter tube. This was with a Bushnell 3.5-21x50 scope which is probably has the bell closer to the bolt face than the S&B. This is on a 20 MOA rail. I think my barrel is the same as yours and the only difference is the stock.

Im looking at a 30-06 with a Sightron 3.5-10-50 that I have with medium rings. I can't see low rings being able to work even without the scope cap.

In order to do that, I need to know the barrel diameter at the muzzle.
Please explain why the above information is needed.

Also, I use a NF 12x42x56 and the medium NF rings work perfect on my FCP.

Here is what the TPS Mediums look like on my 10 FCP-K. I went to Low and still had plenty of clearance. Went back to Medium when I installed the XLR chassis.

Medium will be safe, at least in a TPS sizing. I have a 34mm tube.

After speaking to Nightforce cs, that is the determining factor for which size rings. If the muzzle diameter was .825 or less, the lows will work, anything higher and it will have to be the mediums. I ordered both pair, so I will either return them or sell them for the price I paid.

Reckon the Lows will work. Have seen them Holding a Sightron 6-24X50 but the Meds will obviously give you the most clearance.
