I have the Vortex Viper 6.5-20X44 mounted on a set of Talley Light Weight mounts (& rings - #740725).
I'm getting a 10 fcp-k in .308 and I'm still trying to decide what scope to get, my budget is 300-500ish. Weight isn't a real concern I'm thinking of shooting 200-600 yards but I want to be able to touch 1000 on occasion. I like higher max magnification probably over 16 is best. Right now I have two in mind... other options would be appretiated

Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 PA Matte Riflescopes (I like Vortex Brand and the confidence that comes with it)

Millett 6-25X56mm LRS-1 Long Range Tactical Riflescope w/ Illuminated Reticle (I like the 140 MOA adjustment and Illumination)
Hard decision
Thank you in advance for reply's

Sightron Siii. Great glass and in the 6-24 you have 100moa of adjustment.

If it were me, I would go with the Vortex. The glass is clearer IMO than millet. As far as functionality, I have no problem shooting long range with my Vortex Viper PST 6-24X50 or my Millet Buck Gold 6-25X56. If I had to do it over again, I'd get the Vortex.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
Viper PST and Viper are two different animals.
The fixed power Weaver T series are good and my favorite value for dollar is the Leupold VX-II 6-18X 40AO Target with fine duplex.
I have two of those vortex vipers and love them. Definitely recommend.
I'll be the first to recommend watching for a used Leupold 6.5-20x40 either Adjustable Objective with the 1" tube or Side focus with the 30mm tube
LOL, They are nice scopes.

If you are going to shoot prone or off the bench for the longest range you can get to...I will without reservations suggest the 16X or 20X SWFA Super Sniper. Looking through my SIII 6-24 on 20 power and the SWFA 20X I was shocked at the visability. Especialy since I sold it to the guy right after I purchased it because he needed a scope.
I would go for the sightron if i were you my next scope will be an SIII or a nightforce benchrest if i can swing it
