    10FP with detachable mag??

I understand that Savage is now shipping the 10FP with the accustock, is there any plans to have the detachable magazine option?

Just to make sure... we are talking about the 10FP, and not the 10FCP?? I don't really care about the fluting or the muzzlebrake.

If so, do you have a link that I can check it all out?? I have not found anything about this. Thank you for this information!!

Looking at Savages web site The 10Fp does not come with the accu-stock.

The 10fcp-k does have the accu-stock.

So far everything I have seen that comes with the "Accu-stock" comes with a detachable magazine.

Therein lies my confusion. From what I have been reading all over everywhere, the 10FP's were supposedly being shipped with the Accustock. Frustrating.

I guess I am just doing alot of wishing and wanting to get exactly what I am looking for in my new rifle, without having to spend alot of time waiting or alot of additional funds to get it there.

I just picked up a .308 10FCP with the Choate stock, was never a fan of their other stocks but this one is nice. The action is smooth and detachable magazine works flawless. I prefer this over the Accu-Stock that a buddie has they are better than the tupperware but no where near as stiff and robust as the Choate. I may just get another for my staggered feed 243AI.

That is definately a sweet rig there Hog!! Do you have any plans on chopping the barrel or any other modifications to it?? Or is it in it's final configuration??

I had considered getting that same rig, but I am looking for something shorter and lighter. It will be my tactical/hunting/paper punching rig...

I'm gonna re-barrel it eventually, but got alot of .308 brass to shoot up first.

If I was looking to buy, I would go the same route that PA Hog did. I also am not a big fan of the accu-stock.

z71rat, I often thought about doing a staggered feed 12FV with a Duramax and a CDI Detachable mag set-up.

    Re: 10FP with detachable mag??

I tend to get confused about the various 'versions' of the 10FP. Most of the ones I've seen utilized a blind magazine and never included scope and rings. But Dick's has a "Savage 10FP" with a detachable magazine and a Tasco WorldWide mildot scope mounted on it. I cannot find a model version or designation that would allow me to order one from Savage or Walmart or whomever. Any ideas what kind of rifle this is?

I wish could see what all DSG's has to offer. I am curious... what was the price on the 10FP that you saw??

Dick's up here has a 22" or 24" Fluted Matte Heavy Barrel with a Varmint style stock and a detachable box magazine, some throw away scope and ring combo for $699.99

    Re: 10FP with detachable mag??

The one I saw wasn't fluted, just the heavy 24" barrel, detachable mag, and Tasco World Wide mil dot scope. Accutrigger but not Accustock. They were running a sale on it, but the nonsale price was $699. They were offering 30% off all rifles over $500 that day. Kinda wish I'd bought it. They also had a Remington SPS Varmint .308 in camo with a cheap Simmons scope for $549. The Savage looked, felt, and 'worked' way more solidly and more highly finished than the Remington.

The Choate Tactical is a great buy, But the Precision Carbine looks pretty good to as a lighter option.
Says 24" but mine is surely a 26"
