    New .308 barrel

Hi guys I have a question before I drop the money on a new barrel. I know this question has been run over by a train. I am wanting to get a pac nor straight tube 20" .308 barrel. I will be shooting hand loads in the 168-175 gr match bullets. What twist is the best for these loads.

The standard is 10 but I would ask Pac-Nor. I use a 10 and 12 and the 5R guys are using an 11.25 or 11.75 maybe.

All my 30 cals are 12 twist, I would not have it any other way.

JBM has a very nice free ballistic calculator. Use the reference tables for bullet length and then run the calc.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
